You need a website but …

Then you are in the right place!

What is a Quick Start Website Setup?

Jump-start your WordPress Website

Many people just starting out don’t need or cannot afford a full website design, but they have no idea how to get started creating a website – so I developed “Digital Setup” to fill this need.

This process starts with a zoom meeting to discuss your project and determine what you need help with.  I then create a custom tailored package that only includes what you need so that you can launch your website and other online needs quickly and without spending money on things you don’t need.

All packages include:

  • Website hosting and routine maintenance on fast servers
  • Connecting your domain name to the hosting account
  • WordPress, theme and plugin installation
  • SSL license
  • Privacy Policy / Terms and Conditions

Add-on services are available (see below for more information about each of these)

  • Extended Setup
  • Email Setup
  • Content Creation
  • Image Search
  • Website Functionality

Quick Start Process

Basic Quick Start Setup

We start with an initial virtual Zoom meeting and discuss your project and what your setup needs are.

I then setup your website hosting, connect your domain name, setup an SSL certificate and install WordPress, a Theme, and basic Plugins.

This also includes a final zoom meeting so that I can show you around the backend of your website.

Add-On Services

All add-on services are based on only what you need to give you a jumpstart and get your website up fast!  Some of the services I offer include:

  • Extended Setup  – I will setup the basics of your website so that you can get your website up much faster.  This includes setting up your header, footer, color pallet, fonts, and templates.
  • Email – Do you need an email address that matches your domain name? (The answer is yes if you don’t already have one). I will get you setup with a Google Workspace account that gives you email and 30GB of cloud storage.
  • Content Creation – Are you struggling to write some of the content for your website?  I will work with you to create that missing content.
  • Image Search – Do you need photos or illustrations for your website?  I can find images to add interest and context to our
  • Functionality – Not sure how to add features that you need on your website – payment buttons, forms, etc?   I can create and test the features that you need.

If you are collecting ANY information from your website visitors you need to have a Privacy Policy and/or Terms and Conditions on your website – this includes anything from email addresses to payment information.  Having these on your website help protect you and assures your visitors (and Google) that your website is legitimate.

Information on the internet is transferred over a protocol called Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). A Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate means that any information going through your website will be using HTTPS – or a secure connection. It ensures nobody can read and steal sensitive information that a user is sending to your website, such as credit card numbers and passwords.

DOMAIN NAME is the address that points to a website.  Think of it like your mailing address with the building number, street name, city, state and zip code. Examples of Domain Names include: google.com, wordpress.org, and sundellsolutions.com

Website Hosting is the place that stores the files that contain the code, databases and images that create your website.  It is similar to the hard drive in your computer that stores your files – but this storage is located at a remote location and you are “renting” space on it.
